Mt. Rushmore
I had always imagined Mt. Rushmore to be large and imposing. Spoiler alert: it isn’t. Actually, my first reaction upon seeing it was, “Oh, is that it?”
It’s actually quite tiny. At least, it’s a lot smaller than the typical photo makes it seem. (Like this one, I guess.)
